About Us…

I’m Bob, and I’m the founder of Peckham Tutors. My journey as a tutor began alongside my full-time teaching role, initially offering tuition outside of school hours. Over time, demand for my tutoring grew steadily, and it soon became clear that more families were looking for high-quality, reliable support than I could provide alone.

Rather than turning parents away, I reached out to teaching friends and colleagues who I knew to be excellent educators. They shared the same values and commitment to students, and with their support, Peckham Tutors was formed.

Our mission is to ensure that every student receives engaging, supportive tuition tailored to their individual goals — whether that’s building confidence, strengthening subject knowledge, or preparing for examinations.

We believe tutoring should not be reserved only for so-called ‘high-achieving’ students. Every child has their own starting point, challenges, and ambitions, and our role is to help them move forward with confidence.
