About us…

I’m Bob and I’m the founder of Peckham Tutors. My journey as a tutor started as a side job along side my full time teaching job as a way of earning a bit of extra cash. Over the course of a couple of years, the demand for my tutoring services grew and grew and continued to grow until I ran out of space for new students. 

I hated the idea of turning away parents when they asked if I was available so I decided to speak to my teaching friends (that I knew firsthand were fantastic educators) to see if they could help. Luckily, they got on board and that’s when Peckham Tutors was born!

Our mission is to ensure that each of our students receive engaging, inspiring tuition, whether that be for extra mathematics to stretch their learning even further or examination preparation.

We want to abolish the idea that tutoring is only for ’high-achieving’ students because actually, each student has their own individual goals.
